     According to this book, Henry Herrick, the fifth son of Sir William Herrick, came first to the Virginia Colony as his father was interested in establishing a mercantile trade business there.  Henry was born in Leicestershire, England in 1604.  His arrival in Massachusetts was not documented, most likely because he went to Virginia first.  He married Editha Laskin and together they had eight children; seven sons and one daughter.
