   This book details the descendants of Thomas Williams, of Roxbury, the second son of John Williams of that town, who died there February, 1794, ae. 75.  According to the records collected by Dr. Stephen W. Williams, of Longmeadow, in his genealogy of the Williams family, this John Williams was of the fourth generation from Robert [the immigrant], through his third son Stephen.  The names of these five families down to Thomas are introduced preliminary to his descendants, in order to connect them with those of other kindred families living in New England, or elsewhere in the United States.
